In Singular

You are unique. A photocopy is not dynamic...

In Singular

“Every person is a landscape… and every landscape has its light, its shadows, its depth and its mystery.”

“Today I would give my life so that you would never forget the love with which God looks upon you.”

One day you asked me:

And how do you do that? How can you forget that look of unconditional love?

We live surrounded by constant stimuli, flashing screens, demands, filters, labels, and likes… and, amidst all the noise, we forget silence. The silence that cleans the glass through which we look at ourselves.

We forget those divine eyes that gaze upon us with tenderness, like an artist who is enraptured by his most beloved work.

We forget the essential: we are unique, we reflect the author who never makes copies, even if they are numbered…

God doesn’t repeat Himself. You are not a mistake, nor a draft…

A melody, not a sum of parts

Sometimes we try to explain ourselves to a person piece by piece, breaking them down: the body on one hand, the mind on the other, emotions on the other, decisions on the other… as if they could dissect the mystery that is you.

But not.

You are a symphony. A whole melody. And if you break it up, it loses its music.

You are not interchangeable. You are not a character.

Likewise, you are a person.

And that changes everything.

You, only you (to enrich)

  • You are UNIQUE: there is no one like you.
  • You are ONE: complete, whole, indivisible.
  • You are TRANSCENDENT: created by Love and to love.

You have a beginning and a destiny. Your life has a profound meaning.

Your body, your gestures, your way of looking, your way of loving, your decisions… everything speaks of you, but it is not you.

And your heart is the center of that story.

NUCLEAR ENERGY CENTER

The heart: where everything comes together

“The heart not only feels, it also knows and understands.”

(Benedict XVI)

Your heart isn’t just emotional. It’s the control center.

  • Think.
  • Choose.
  • Discern.

It is the intersection between your intelligence, your sensitivity and your freedom.

It is the battlefield between true love and the mirages of a self-seeking desire.

And there, in the most intimate part, you learned to love:

In the eyes of the one who loved you first.

Poetry again

I am tall because you think I am tall,

and I clean because you look at me

with good eyes, with a clear look.

Your thought makes me

intelligent […]

But if you forget me

I will be dead without anyone

I know it. You will see me alive

my flesh, but it will be another man

–dark, clumsy, bad– the one who inhabits it.

— Ángel González

We need that loving look that tells us

How good that you exist! And purify our view of ourselves.

We need to learn to look as He looks at us: with a tenderness that builds, with a truth that transforms, that cleanses, and makes us take flight.

Let the engines roar!

Redirect that source of energy, with rhythm, with strength…

Channel what you feel.

The solution isn’t to drown the heart, but to channel it. Like a river: clean, strong, directed toward the sea of purpose.

How to do it?

  1. Get to know me.
  2. Accept myself.
  3. Love me with joy.
  4. Improve what you can improve.
  5. Embrace with peace what you cannot change.
  6. And do it all with the love with which God loves you: without conditions.

It’s not easy. There are wounds. Fears. Emptiness. Excesses. But God doesn’t improvise with you.

God has a vision of eternity

It may be hard to believe, but God always thought of you. With your strengths… and also with your weaknesses.

He knows you and calls you by name. Not to demand perfection, but to accompany you in discovering why you are the object of his love.

Your worth doesn’t depend on what you do, or what you achieve.

Your value is in what you are to Him:

Loved, sought, rescued, sustained.

And if today you feel like you don’t know where to go next, start here:

Be silent within yourself

Ask yourself:

  • Where is my heart?
  • What good really guides my life?
  • Do I live from love or from fear?

Don’t be afraid to look at yourself truthfully.

Lose your fear of making mistakes. Love isn’t static. It’s a journey, a fall, forgiveness, and rebuilding.

And if you’re alive… you still have time.

God walks with you. Without haste. With infinite tenderness.

Write your story from who you are:

A unique, unrepeatable being, called to love and be loved.

I end with a text from my book “The Self and Its Metaphors” in case you are interested in savoring it.

«Living with one’s feet firmly planted in the concrete, in what is measurable and quantifiable, requires masterfully managing one’s daily conduct, both the short step (—)  and the heart that dreams of personal greatness— a long gaze —like colorful balloons that escape to the heights and resist being caged, being interpreted by other eyes. I must discover what my heart truly yearns for through the language revealed by my footprints in order to understand myself, love myself, accept myself …, and every day materialize the universal in the concrete.

Learning to live with my reality and my project, with peace and patience. Growing together, harmoniously maturing my being and becoming, playing with success and failure without fear, surprising each other. Starting over with every challenge. Learning to put things into perspective from the heart, cleaning away the scales and adhesions that muddy my wings and prevent me from taking flight with a sense of humor.

I wish you a friendly treatment with yourself.
