When a living room becomes the engine for a new faith: the birth of “Encuentros Siloé”
An independent evangelization initiative, inspired by the model of the early Christians, which uses private homes as accessible, intimate spaces to bring the faith to those who have drifted away from the Church
The ” Siloé Encounters “ initiative was officially launched before more than 400 people at the Torrelodones Theater . The project arose with the fundamental purpose of bringing the Christian faith closer to people distant from the Church through meetings organized in private homes .

The origin: a family experience turned into a network
The foundations of this project lie in the personal experience of the married couple Javier Huerta and Marta del Sol . After discovering their faith three years ago, they decided to open the doors of their home to share the Good News of the Gospel with friends and non-believers invited by their circle .
- In a recent period, his home hosted 26 meetings with the participation of more than 1,000 attendees .
- Given the profound spiritual fruits and personal transformations observed, they decided to form a formal association with other participants to provide methodologies and materials to new families and parishes .
- The initiative stands out for being totally independent , driven by lay people from a great diversity of ecclesial realities without depending on any specific movement .

How does an “Encounter” unfold?
The evenings are carefully structured to take place in a simple and human setting . Each session combines the following elements:
- Live Christian music : aimed at fostering prayer and a positive inner disposition .
- Screening of a documentary of your own : focused on analyzing the existence of God from scientific evidence or on delving into the divine and historical nature of Jesus Christ .
- Testimony and training : a personal conversion story complemented by a fifteen-minute doctrinal talk .
- Dialogue and coexistence : a space for the exchange of reflections, closed with an informal shared standing dinner .
Support and future planning
To ensure the success of the experience in any setting, the association provides a guided program that includes website management, audiovisual resources, logistical training, and ongoing community support through support groups, reading, and prayer . Its dual mission is clear: to offer a welcoming and supportive space to speak about God to those who lack faith and to build a network of homes open to accompaniment in various locations .
