This morning, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, His Excellency Mr. Philip Edward Davis, was received in audience by the Holy Father Francis. He subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, accompanied by His Excellency Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.

During the cordial discussions, which took place at the Secretariat of State, appreciation was expressed for the good bilateral relations and the will to strengthen them further.

In addition, other matters of mutual interest with great impact on the region were touched, such as the effects of climate change and migration. Finally, mention was made of the regional situation.
