Farewell ceremony from Mongolia at Ulaanbaatar International Airport
At the end of the meeting with the Workers of Charity at the House of Mercy, the Holy Father Francis went to the Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar for the farewell ceremony from Mongolia.
On his arrival, the Pope was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, H.E. Batmunkh Battsetseg. Then, after greetings from the respective Delegations and local Followers, Pope Francis boarded an A330/ITA Airways to return to Italy.
The plane carrying the Holy Father on his return from the Apostolic Journey to Mongolia took off from Ulaanbaatar International Airport at 12:03pm (6:03am Rome time) and landed at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome Fiumicino at 4:01pm.
