Casals Publishers has   just released a  beautiful collection of saints’ lives for children,  designed to fill their hearts with God’s love and awaken that love within them. Undoubtedly, this is a  valuable resource for Christian parents  in passing on the faith to their children . 

Four lives of saints to start with

The Casals publishing house has started this project by publishing  four lives of saints for children .

The edition  presents the most significant episodes in the life of the Mother of God and three other saints : “The Virgin Mary”, “Saint Paul”, “Saint Clare” and “Saint Francis Xavier”.

Each story is  edited with a careful presentation, attractive to children .

Aimed at both younger and older children

Each volume consists, as its main text, of the  narration of the life of a saint .

Following the introduction to the saint’s life, the publication  offers simple explanations  to delve deeper into key aspects of each saint. In this way, and quite effectively, each of these lives  can help both young children and older children discover and learn more about the lives of the saints.

After the story and simple explanations for further exploration,  the text offers a simple prayer addressed to the corresponding saint . These prayers  will  also  help children begin their journey into Christian prayer , discovering the value of the communion of saints and their intercession for us.

Beautiful illustrations

The story is accompanied by beautiful illustrations . Both the stories and the carefully crafted illustrations were written and created by  Margarita García de Polavieja Cárdenas , a young wife and mother of four, a teacher, writer, and illustrator, who conceived the collection and has been working on it to offer this resource to Christian parents. The illustrations were designed and painted by hand, not using modern digital design techniques.

A beautiful tool to help Christian parents pass on the faith to their children

The Church has become increasingly aware of the  need to transmit the faith to new generations , particularly within  the family and  through  catechesis . This edition from Editorial Casals responds to this challenge.
