Corporate Social Action (ASE) celebrates its 75th anniversary with a major National Meeting in Madrid to reflect on ethics, sustainability, and the common good in business
From May 7 to 9, 2026 , the Spanish capital will become the epicenter of values-based business thinking. The Business Social Action Association (ASE) , established by the Spanish Episcopal Conference in 1951, is commemorating its 75th anniversary with a major international event at the headquarters of the Pablo VI Foundation.
Under the motto “Business Excellence, Common Good, and Solidarity: Keys to Sustainable Success ,” the event seeks to transcend economic profit and focus on human resource management. According to Juan Antonio Perteguer , president of ASE, the objective is to highlight that Christian executives are capable of “combining business excellence with solidarity . “
A forum with global impact
The meeting will not only attract local leaders, but will also bring together professionals and academics from more than twenty countries . The main challenge will be to discuss how to apply the Social Doctrine of the Church to the daily operations of businesses, especially in today’s environment marked by technological innovation.
The program stands out for its top-level panel of speakers that combines the academic, ecclesiastical, and corporate worlds:

Business leadership: It will feature the presence of Antonio Huertas (President of Mapfre), Antonio Garamendi (President of the CEOE) and Javier Marín (CEO of Singular Bank), among others.

Church representation: Sister Alessandra Smerilli , from the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, and Monsignor Luis Argüello, President of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, will participate .

Academic and social sphere: Rectors and directors of institutions such as the Francisco de Vitoria University , the IESE Business School and UCAM will participate , in addition to leaders of organizations such as Manos Unidas and World Vision Spain .
75 years of commitment
Since its founding in 1951 , ASE has operated as a non-profit organization serving Spanish businesses. Its influence extends beyond Spain’s borders through its membership in UNIAPAC , an international federation that brings together more than 45,000 executives in 40 countries across four continents.
This May meeting promises to be a space of inspiration and cooperation for all those seeking to build a more humane and people-centered economy .
