The Pope will visit the cemetery in Rome on All Souls’ Day
He will preside over a Mass at 4:00 PM on November 2nd in the Verano Cemetery, near the monumental entrance
Next Sunday, November 2, the day on which the Church remembers the faithful departed, Leo XIV will preside over a mass at 4:00 p.m. at the monumental entrance of the Verano cemetery in Rome.
In a note from the Vicariate of Rome, on the occasion of the solemnity of All Saints, on November 1, and the commemoration of the dead, the other celebrations planned in other Roman cemeteries are listed.
Mass and Rosary in Laurentino
Specifically, at the Laurentino Cemetery, located at kilometer 13.5 on the Via Laurentina, a Eucharistic liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, November 1st, at 11:00 AM and another at 3:30 PM, in which priests of the Prefecture who wish to participate may do so. In addition, on November 2nd, a Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM and the recitation of the Rosary at 3:00 PM, followed by another Mass in the afternoon at 4:00 PM.
Celebrations in Ostia Antica, Prima Porta and Portuense
Mass will be celebrated at the Ostia Antica cemetery on Saturday, November 1st at 3:00 PM. The following day, Eucharistic celebrations are also scheduled at 3:00 PM at the Flaminio cemetery, also known as Prima Porta, on Via Flaminia, and at 3:30 PM at the Portuense cemetery, on Via Isacco Newton.
