The ACdP launches the “Seek Holiness” campaign for International Women’s Day (March 8th), an invitation to rediscover feminine greatness
The Catholic Association of Propagandists presents a national campaign highlighting five historical women as models of holiness accessible to all, in contrast to reductionist views of International Women's Day
To mark International Women’s Day (March 8), the Catholic Association of Propagandists (ACdP) has launched its new national campaign under the slogan “Seek Holiness .” It is a direct proposal to rediscover the historical greatness of women and transform it into daily inspiration for personal, family, and social life.
The initiative focuses on five female figures whose influence has profoundly shaped spiritual, cultural, and political history:
- The Virgin Mary , supreme model of trust, humility and strength in adversity, who embodies a greatness based on fidelity and total surrender, not on visible power.
- Saint Monica (4th century), an example of perseverance and family hope. Praying for years for the conversion of her son Augustine—who would become one of the great Christian thinkers—she demonstrates how holiness can be lived from the discretion of the home with historical impact.
- Isabella I of Castile (1451-1504), Queen of Castile, played a key role in shaping Spain. Her faith fueled the American enterprise and united religious convictions with the responsibilities of governance at a decisive moment for Europe.
- Joan of Arc (1412-1431), a symbol of courage and fidelity to conscience. As a peasant girl, she led armies in the Hundred Years’ War under divine inspiration and was canonized as a universal emblem of moral courage.
- Mother Teresa (1910-1997), founder of the Missionaries of Charity, dedicated her life to the radical service of the poorest people in India, receiving worldwide recognition, including the Nobel Peace Prize.

Through these women —diverse in eras, contexts and roles—, the campaign underlines that holiness is not exclusive to exceptional figures, but a universal vocation accessible in any circumstance of life.
The audiovisual message traces their legacies to extend a clear invitation: if they transformed their time by seeking holiness, today anyone—woman or man—can aspire to that fulfillment in family, work, and social engagement. The ACdP thus encourages us not to lower our existential horizons, but to reclaim a demanding and humanizing aspiration: the pursuit of holiness as a path to authenticity and personal transformation.
The campaign is being rolled out across bus shelters and advertising displays in numerous municipalities throughout Spain, including Cádiz, Jaén, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Badajoz, Ferrol (A Coruña), Castellón de la Plana, Huesca, Zamora, Ávila, and Algeciras. In the Community of Madrid , in addition to the capital’s metro system, it will be present in towns such as Alcalá de Henares, Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Aranjuez, Arganda del Rey, Boadilla del Monte, Collado Villalba, Colmenar Viejo, Coslada, El Escorial, Fuenlabrada, Getafe, Leganés, Majadahonda, Móstoles, Parla, Pinto, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Las Rozas de Madrid, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Tres Cantos, and Valdemoro.
About the Catholic Association of Propagandists (ACdP): Founded in 1909, the ACdP is a group of lay faithful committed to the evangelization of public life. Its members work to make the message of Jesus Christ and the Church present in all areas of society.
