Telephone Conversation of the Holy Father with the President of the Government of Spain
The Holy See Press Office has reported on the telephone call between Pope Leo XIV and the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez
On the afternoon of June 11, the Holy Father Leo XIV held a telephone conversation with Mr. Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, President of the Government of Spain, during which he thanked him for the presence of King Felipe and Queen Letizia at the Eucharistic celebration for the inauguration of the Petrine ministry.
During the conversation, topics of common interest were discussed, including the migration crisis, the need to build bridges to resolve current conflicts, and the defense of human dignity.
Finally, after speaking about the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, to be held in June in Seville, the President of the Government of Spain renewed his invitation to the Holy Father to visit the country.
