Pope Francis has read some newspapers, has prayed and has received the Eucharist in the chapel of his private apartment.
This is the update on the state of health of Pope Francis: he has rested well during the night and his clinical picture is progressively improving.
The director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, reported today, March 30, 2023, the evolution of the Holy Father, admitted yesterday for a respiratory infection at the Gemelli Polyclinic Hospital in Rome.
“His Holiness of him Pope Francis has had a good night’s rest. His clinical picture progressively improves and he continues with the scheduled treatments. This morning, after breakfast, he has read some newspapers and resumed work. Before lunch he went to the small chapel on his private floor, where he prayed and received the Eucharist,” Bruni’s statement read.
Yesterday afternoon, the director of the Holy See Press Office reported that in recent days Francis had presented some respiratory difficulties and that he had gone to the Gemelli Polyclinic to undergo some medical tests.
Their results revealed a respiratory infection, ruling out the COVID19 infection, which will require a few days of adequate hospital medical treatment. The Successor of Peter has had to cancel his schedule in these next few days.
Let us pray for the speedy recovery of his Holiness.
