Pope Leo XIV invites us to “disarm language” during Lent 2026
Replace insults and judgment with listening and kindness in your family, at work, and on social media; give yourself the gift of the Way of the Cross for the persecuted of the Church in Need (ACN)
In his Lenten message for 2026 , Pope Leo XIV invites us to make this time a journey of conversion, also in our words and in the way we communicate. He encourages us to replace insults and hasty judgments with sincere listening, proposing that we “disarm language” and rediscover kindness in our families, workplaces, and online communities.
For this very reason, Aid to the Church in Need offers this Stations of the Cross for persecuted Christians, so that during this Lent you may keep them especially in your prayers and pray alongside these brothers and sisters of ours who, at each station, carry the cross as Jesus did. May this exercise help you grow in listening, compassion, and communion with those who suffer for their faith.
