In the audio, released on March 6, he said: “I thank you with all my heart for the prayers you make for my health from the Square, I accompany you from here. May God bless you and may the Virgin take care of you. Thank you.”

The Pope’s voice, although weak, conveyed gratitude and closeness to those present, who responded with emotional displays of support. This message represents the first direct communication from the Pope since his hospital admission.

The Vatican has reported that Francis is “stable” and has not experienced any recent respiratory crises. Despite his delicate state of health, the Pope has maintained a resilient attitude and continues to carry out light activities from the hospital.

Since February 24, every evening at 8:00 p.m., the recitation of the Holy Rosary has been held in St. Peter’s Square, bringing together the faithful and members of the Roman Curia in prayer for the Holy Father’s speedy recovery.
