Vatican Issues Brief Statement
Pope Francis may visit Canada.
The news came in a statement published by the Holy See Press Office, today, Oct. 27, 2021, in three languages.
“The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops,” the statement began, “has invited the Holy Father to make an apostolic journey to Canada, also in the context of the long-standing pastoral process of reconciliation with indigenous peoples.”
“His Holiness,” it concluded, “has indicated his willingness to visit the country on a date to be settled in due course.”
