Pope Francis’ health update: slight improvement and continuity in his work
Signs of recovery while hospitalized in Rome
The Vatican Press Office has announced that Pope Francis, 88, is showing a “slight improvement” in his health. According to the report, the Pontiff has no fever and his hemodynamic parameters remain stable. In addition, he has received the Eucharist and continues his work activities from the Gemelli hospital in Rome, where he has been hospitalized since February 14 due to bronchitis that evolved into bilateral pneumonia.
Despite the illness, the Pope has maintained his daily routine as much as possible. He rested well during the night and was able to get up to have breakfast in an armchair. During the day, he alternated between reading and resting and followed the Holy Mass on television. He has also been active in his duties, signing decrees and appointing a new bishop in France.
Although the Pope’s recovery is progressing well, his hospital stay is expected to be prolonged to ensure a full recovery.
Let us continue to pray for the Pope’s health.
