Pope Francis continues to make good progress
The Holy Father, hospitalized with bilateral pneumonia, is showing signs of improvement, although doctors warn that his recovery is not yet complete
Pope Francis, 88, remains hospitalized at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where he is receiving treatment for bilateral pneumonia resulting from bronchitis. According to the latest medical report, the Pontiff has spent a peaceful night and is showing slight improvement, although specialists insist that his health condition still requires attention.
Despite the situation, the Pope remains in good spirits and has been able to carry out some activities from his room, where he has received visitors, including from the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni. His stay in the hospital is expected to be extended for at least another week, to ensure a complete recovery.
For the second consecutive Sunday, the Holy Father will not lead the Angelus prayer publicly. However, the Vatican says he remains aware of his responsibilities and in communication with his closest collaborators.
