Pope Francis cancels his audiences due to a “mild case of flu”
As a precautionary measure in view of the trip to Luxembourg and Belgium in the coming days
The engagements scheduled for September 23 by Pope Francis have been canceled due to a mild case of flu.
This was announced by the Holy See Press Office in a statement to journalists which reads: “Due to a mild case of flu, and as a precautionary measure because of the trip in the coming days, the papal audiences scheduled for today are canceled.”
The Pope’s apostolic trip to Luxembourg and Belgium, the 46th of his pontificate, is scheduled for September 26-29, a few weeks after the trip to Southeast Asia and Oceania.
