Pope at Gemelli: He continues the Lenten Spiritual Exercises from the hospital
After announcing that the Pontiff had a peaceful night, the Holy See Press Office reports that the Holy Father continues his therapies, and remains stable within a complex clinical picture. He has been informed about the floods in Argentina and expresses his closeness to the affected populations
“The Pope had a peaceful night, he is resting,” reports the Holy See Press Office in its communication to journalists this Monday morning, March 10, 2025.
Later, the Press Office has specified that after waking up, the Pope has resumed his therapies, including respiratory and motor therapies. After the non-invasive mechanical ventilation of the night, he has gone on to receive high-flow oxygenation with nasal cannulas.
This morning he also followed the spiritual exercises of the Roman Curia, which began yesterday afternoon in the Paul VI Hall, on video from his chair, and was thus able to join the participants spiritually. It was specified that from this afternoon, at 5 p.m., the spiritual exercises can be followed live on Vatican News. Then, at 6 p.m., again in the Paul VI Hall, there will be a Rosary for the Pope’s health.
The Holy Father has been informed of the floods in Argentina and expresses his closeness to those affected.
The situation appears stable in a complex situation, with a reserved prognosis.
A medical bulletin is expected to be published this afternoon, which, given the stability of the clinical picture, was not published yesterday.
