Meeting of the Council of Cardinals is underway at the Vatican in the presence of Pope Francis
Commonly called the C9, the Council of Cardinals (in Latin Consilium Cardinalium Summo Pontifici) is underway at the Vatican in the presence of Pope Francis. This was announced by the Vatican Press Office.
The Council of Cardinals is a working group of 9 cardinals, established by Pope Francis, by chirographical act, on 28 September 2013, with the task of assisting and advising him in the governance of the universal Church and to study a project to revise the apostolic constitution Pastor Bonus concerning the Roman Curia.
The first meeting of the C9 took place on 1 October 2013 and the last one will be held on 24-25 April 2023.
