New Uniservitate Membership program for Catholic educational institutions
Institutions that are part of the Uniservitate global network will be able to access training, exchange meetings, research scholarships, awards and other benefits linked to solidarity service-learning
Uniservitate presented the new Membership program that will allow its members to access training resources, global and regional exchange meetings, research scholarships, awards, and other benefits linked to solidarity service-learning.
Promoted by Uniservitate, the program that promotes the institutionalization of learning and solidarity service at the higher level, the call aims to expand the reach of the Uniservitate Global Network and is open to all Catholic Higher Education Institutions or those of Catholic inspiration.
“The Membership initiative seeks to expand the reach of the program, promoting mutual support, the exchange of lessons learned and collective strengthening through the construction of regional networks. It is open to any university that wants to participate in the Uniservitate global network, regardless of its level of institutionalization of the AYSS,” explained María Rosa Tapia, Uniservitate and Higher Education Coordinator, about the new program initiative.
Membership has no cost for the institutions and is valid annually – at the end of which renewal can be requested.
Registration deadlines
Institutions will be able to apply for this membership until the end of May 2024 and will receive confirmation of their entry until June of this year.
The current representatives from the different regions of the world, also known as nodes, will participate in the evaluation of the institutions that apply for membership.
An expanding network
The Uniservitate global network is present on five continents through seven regional nodes that support more than 30 universities in the institutionalization of supportive service-learning as a tool to fulfill their mission of comprehensive education, generate agents of social change that critically engage for a better society.
The link between the institutions – that promote, implement and systematize the development of service-learning projects – in a global network that this year will incorporate new members, will generate institutions that are more committed to their communities; as well as the exchange between them, at the regional and local level, will impact public policies and systems.
