The Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major has launched a new website, www.basilicasantamariamaggiore.va, which provides pilgrims and enthusiasts with information about the basilica in several languages.

The site, available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese, contains information on the history, architecture, art, and events of the basilica. It also offers a photo gallery, a calendar of events, and a contact form.

The new website is an important tool for the basilica to communicate with a wider public, said the rector of the basilica, Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, We want everyone to know the history and significance of this important church.
