One possible definition:
Values-based marketing is the discipline that seeks to create, communicate and deliver value to customers and society through relationships based on trust, ethics, service and respect for the dignity of the person.
In my speeches and writings, I present values-based marketing as an alternative to purely transactional marketing. I argue that the best business strategy consists of serving people, building trust, and fostering a strong reputation through professional excellence and ethical behavior . According to this view, financial gains are a consequence of creating genuine value for customers, employees, and society.
In short, my approach can be summarized in one idea: “the best marketing is doing things right, serving people, and communicating truthfully.”
