Javier Milei meets with the Pope: dialogue and respect
The Argentine President was received by the Pope at the Vatican
This morning, the Holy Father Leo XIV received in audience, at the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican, the President of the Argentine Republic, His Excellency Mr. Javier Gerardo Milei, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, accompanied by the Reverend Monsignor Miroslaw Wachowski, Undersecretary for Relations with States.

During the cordial conversations held at the Secretariat of State, the mutual appreciation for the strong bilateral relations and the desire to further strengthen them were reiterated. Issues of common interest were then addressed, including socioeconomic developments, the fight against poverty, and the commitment to social cohesion.

Finally, several sociopolitical, regional, and international issues were discussed, with particular attention paid to ongoing conflicts and the importance of an urgent commitment to peace.
