FEDMA holds the III Congress of Large Families of the Community of Madrid in Pozuelo de Alarcón
A meeting to strengthen the value and support for large families
The Madrid Federation of Large Families (FEDMA) will hold its Congress of Large Families of the Community of Madrid, under the motto “The Permanent Value of the Family”, in what will be its III edition.
The Congress will take place next Saturday, October 19, in the auditorium of the Espacio Familia, in Pozuelo de Alarcón. c/ Volturno 2.
This meeting will bring together experts, institutional representatives, politicians, and families to discuss the challenges and opportunities that large families face today.
The Congress will be opened by Ana Dávila Ponce de León, Councillor for Family, Youth and Social Affairs of the Community of Madrid, and will include the participation of Jaime Mayor Oreja, President of the NEOS Foundation, after the welcome by the Mayor of Pozuelo, Paloma Tejero, and the President of FEDMA, José Mª Villalón.
Benigno Blanco will open the conference with the presentation “Family support policies in the 21st century”. This will be followed by a discussion on this topic with the participation of Mónica Lavín, spokesperson for the family of the Assembly of Madrid, together with family councillors from municipalities with family support policies such as Móstoles and Pozuelo de Alarcón.
In the second part of the congress, the expert José Martín Aguado will give a presentation on the influence of social networks and screens on family life, followed by a discussion in which key figures such as María José Olesti, Miguel Rumayor and Jesús Poveda will participate, who will address youth mental health.
The closing ceremony will be led by the general director of Family and Childhood of the Community of Madrid, Silvia Valmaña.

The Federation integrates 24 associations of large families from all over the region. Currently, in the Community of Madrid there are more than 145,000 large families, with more than 3,700 in Pozuelo de Alarcón.
