The Primate of Poland noted in his homily that the Church today is marked by crises and experienced by human sin, “but convinced that the only way is our being with Christ, the only certainty is our faith that allows us to go on despite storms and darkness.” “Today, from this place, I would like to thank all those who have such faith and trust, who, in the face of doubt, kept hope and are able to give it to others,” he said.

“Thank you for your commitment, that you want to courageously and creatively shape the life of the Church, that you pray for the Church. I would also like to thank all those who, having experienced wounds, disappointment or simply human disappointment, are still able to love and forgive “- noted the Polish Archbishop and added that” it is faith and love that strengthen and rebuild the Church. It is faith and love that save him. It is faith and love that shape him.

Referring to the current social situation, the Primate of Poland emphasized that every human life is sacred. “Holy is the life of an unborn child, and holy is the life of an old man troubled by disease. Holy is the life of a man struggling with poverty and homelessness, fleeing hunger and war, ”he said.

Archbishop Polak also drew attention to the necessity of commitment to the truth: “the truth about man, created as man and woman in the image of God himself, the truth about the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death, about the dignity of human love and marriage between men and women, about marital unity and indissolubility, about love and concern for the weakest, the wronged and those demanding justice, about mutual respect for each other, despite the obvious differences and divisions that still exist. “
