Castel Gandolfo to Host Pope Leo XIV During the Summer
During the months of July and August, Pope Leo XIV will visit the Pontifical Villas of Castel Gandolfo on several occasions, where he will alternate periods of rest with liturgical celebrations and meetings with the faithful
According to a statement issued by the Prefecture of the Papal Household, the Holy Father will begin his summer stay in Castel Gandolfo on Sunday afternoon, July 6.
As part of this visit, on Sunday, July 13, the Pope will preside over Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the parish of St. Thomas in Villanova. Later, at noon, he will lead the Angelus prayer from the iconic Piazza della Libertà, located in front of the Apostolic Palace.

A week later, on July 20, the Pontiff will celebrate the Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. in Albano Cathedral, before reciting the Angelus again at 12:00 p.m. in the same square of Castel Gandolfo. He is scheduled to return to the Vatican in the afternoon.
During the month of July, the private hearings and general hearings held on Wednesdays the 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd will be suspended. They are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, July 30th.
In addition, on Friday, August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Pope will celebrate Mass at 10:00 a.m. in the Pontifical Parish of Castel Gandolfo and will pray the Angelus at 12:00 p.m. in Piazza della Libertà.
The summer stay will conclude with the Angelus on Sunday, August 17, at noon, after which the Holy Father will return to Rome.
