Rooted, closes its training program, “Leading is loving”, with a round table of social leaders: María Menéndez, vice president of FEDMA (Federation of Large Families of Madrid), Jesús Poveda, professor of Psychiatry at the Autonomous University of Madrid and Beatriz Morillo, expert in design and management of Social Projects.
The debate will be moderated by Jaime Urcelay, director of the course, and will take place in Madrid next Thursday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Francisco Marroquín University (C/ Arturo Soria, 245).
In the course of the program “Leading is loving” and with the help of specialists in Catholic leadership – Jaime Urcelay, Ignacio Menéndez Ros, Sergio Cardona, Enrique Ruiz, Miguel Gómez de Agüero – and experts in the Social Doctrine of the Church – Jaime Oliver Gornals and José Castro Velarde – the students of the course delved into the following aspects:
- What it means to be a Christian leader in the 21st century
- What is the role of the leader.
- The leader’s profile. Values and Virtues.
- Leadership styles
- Self-development and leadership of one’s own life
- Development of personal skills: communication, emotional intelligence, people development, conflict management.
All of this based on what the Social Magisterium of the Church teaches for a correct order in society:
- The supremacy of the person and their dignity
- Openness to the other and the social dimension of the person: solidarity
- The commitment to freedom and the talents of each person applying subsidiarity and participation
- The role of authority and power
- The Common Good as the end of social life
