The mayor of New York, Eric Adams, in Rome for the second world meeting on human brotherhood, will visit the Community of Sant’Egidio at 3pm on Sunday 12 May. Adams, who has always been involved in the field of defense of disadvantaged people, asked to visit some of the services that the Community carries out with migrants and refugees and to discuss the different integration models that Sant’Egidio is carrying out, in particular with the program of humanitarian corridors.
The mayor, with a delegation from the city of New York, will visit the School of Italian Language and Culture in S. Maria in Trastevere (alley of Santa Maria in Trastevere 23) and will chat with some of the refugee families who arrived in Rome thanks to the corridors humanitarian.
