This innovative initiative, proposed by Cardinal Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga during World Youth Day in Lisbon, aims to revitalize and promote Catholic music and recognize the creativity of Catholic Christian artists in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, and the rest of the world.
A global event
During a press conference to be held on 27 September at 4:00 p.m. at the Vatican Film Library (Palazzo San Carlo), Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga, President of the Ramón Pané Foundation, will blow the starting whistle for these awards, officially opening the registration platform at www.catholicmusicawards.world
Along with Cardinal Oscar Rodríguez Maradiaga, the event will be attended by prominent personalities, including from the Dicastery for Communications, along with other Dicasteries and the executive director of the Ramón Pané Foundation, Brother Ricardo Grzona.
More than a competition, it is a celebration.
The Catholic Music Awards are not just a competition, but a celebration of Catholic music in all its expressions. The winners will be announced on 29 July 2025 as part of the Festival and Jubilee of Influencers, which will be held in Rome.
Why the Catholic Music Awards?

- Recognize and promote the creativity of Catholic musicians worldwide.
- Encourage the production of quality Catholic music that inspires and evangelizes.
- Create a global community of Catholic musicians who share their talents and experiences.
The event will be broadcast live on the Pané Foundation’s social networks.
