The Elegance of Service

Scholarships with Soul at the University of Navarra

The Elegance of Service

In a world that often forgets the value of discreet service, a group of students from the University of Navarra shines with a quiet but powerful dedication. They are the scholarship recipients of the study and work centers, young people who balance their careers with the daily work of the colleges. This weekend they received well-deserved recognition.

This weekend, the most representative scholarships of the University of Navarra were awarded. These are the scholarships for the study and work centers, where students balance their university studies with administrative duties in colleges.

These young women have learned to work discreetly, to go out partying on a Sunday night and be on their feet the next day to cover a shift in the morning. They have to clean windows inside and out, even though they know it’s going to rain in half an hour.

They have understood that the smallest detail can change everything.

Not only that, but they don’t just fulfill a task: they are transforming the daily lives of those around them, serving the lives of others.

And all this is possible thanks to extraordinary women like María Giner, who have dedicated their lives to helping others and teaching—with joy, elegance, and faith—that service is also a path to happiness. Women who have shaped generations, showing them that caring for a home, with generosity and dedication, is a profoundly human and Christian vocation.

In Harry Potter, in The Lord of the Rings, in Bethania, the importance of the home, of the house, is constantly discussed. And these young women have made thousands of students on campus feel at home, because they are behind it all, sustaining it all with their silent work.

They are accustomed to being corrected with discretion, prudence, and a smile. Specialists, and perhaps the best, in that excellence that is measured by the effectiveness of being good people.
