Pope Leo XIV’s Prayer Intentions for 2026
“The power of prayer, holistic healthcare, the value of human dignity, art as a gift that humanizes us, technological development at the service of the common good, the proper use of AI, and the vocation of young people” are some of the central themes of the prayer intentions that the Holy Father entrusts to his Worldwide Prayer Network for 2027
The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network has released the Holy Father’s prayer intentions entrusted to his Prayer Network for the year 2026.
January
For the discovery of the power of prayer. Let us pray that all in the Church may discover the power of prayer as a personal encounter with the Lord, which transforms our hearts and the world
February
For the care of those who care. Let us pray for those who care for the holistic health of others, that they may receive the necessary support and, with patience, wisdom, and strength, open paths of inner healing and hope
March
For respect for the dignity of human life. Let us pray that, in the face of a culture centered on productivity and immediacy, we may be able to discover and value the unique dignity of every person, both our own and that of others
April
For art as a gift that humanizes. Let us pray that art may be received as a true gift that humanizes us, elevates the spirit, and helps us contemplate the beauty of God in creation
May
For job opportunities for all. Let us pray that technological development will open paths to decent work and that intergenerational collaboration will strengthen a future where every person can offer their talents in service to the common good
June
For the good use of artificial intelligence. Let us pray that the development of artificial intelligence will always be at the service of human dignity and that we will know how to use it wisely
July
For grandparents and the elderly. Let us pray that members of the Church will value the treasure of faith and wisdom offered by grandparents and the elderly, willing to learn from their experience
August
For the vocation of young people. Let us pray that young people in search of their own vocation may recognize Jesus Christ as a companion on their journey to whom they can open their hearts
September
For a holistic ecological conversion. Let us pray that we may learn to live a new relationship with creation, protecting it justly and finding in the contemplation of creation the path to a more harmonious and grateful life
October
For Christian communities. Let us pray that every parish, community, or Christian group may be a center of missionary outreach, forming new disciples in service to the Gospel
November
For the integration of migrants. Let us pray that migrants and displaced persons, accompanied and comforted by the Holy Family on their own journey of displacement, may find communities that welcome them with dignity, solidarity, and true integration
December
For the Christian vocation of the family. Let us pray that Christian families may be living witnesses of the Gospel in society, learning ever more to be homes where faith, hope, and love are cultivated.
