November 25, preparation for Advent
Daily Reflections

Gospel Reflection
In today’s Gospel, Luke 21:34-36, Jesus warns us about the danger of distraction and spiritual carelessness. “Be on your guard, lest your hearts be dulled by carousing, drunkenness, and the worries of life, and that day falls upon you unexpectedly like a trap.” This message is a call to sobriety and to keep our hearts focused on God.
The purpose of the day
Today, the purpose is to identify and reduce the distractions in your life that keep you from God. These could be too much time on social media, unnecessary worries, or habits that don’t contribute to your spiritual growth. Set boundaries and spend more time in prayer and Bible reading.
How to Live Christmas as a Family
As a family, talk about the distractions each of your faces and how you can help each other stay focused on the true meaning of Advent. You can establish times of prayer and Bible reading together, creating an atmosphere of spirituality and contemplation in your home.
Prayer for the day
Lord, free me from the distractions and worries that separate me from you. Help me to live soberly and keep my heart focused on your love. Bless my family and allow us to walk together in this time of Advent, preparing our hearts for your coming. Amen.
