A remarkable collection of 125 nativity scenes from 20 countries, including three from Poland—Radom, Sierpc, and Wadowice—is now on display at the “100 Nativity Scenes in the Vatican” exhibition. The event was officially inaugurated on Sunday, December 8. Visitors can admire the nativity scenes in the left wing of Bernini’s colonnade at St. Peter’s Square.

The Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom crafted the Polish nativity scenes, the Museum of the Mazovian Countryside in Sierpc, and the municipality of Wadowice.

Last year, the exhibition attracted over 290,000 visitors, and this year’s attendance is expected to surpass that number. Pope Francis will inaugurate the Jubilee Year 2025 on December 24, drawing even more pilgrims to Rome.

In addition to the Polish contributions, this year’s display features nativity scenes from numerous European countries and beyond, including Mali, Taiwan, Paraguay, the Philippines, the United States, and Costa Rica.
