La era digital, de la\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ethic.es\/entrevista-johann-hari\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">atenci\u00f3n<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0de la posverdad; la sociedad l\u00edquida, del espect\u00e1culo, del cansancio, del\u00a0<em>burnout<\/em>. Pero, si se tuviera que englobar en un solo t\u00e9rmino, quiz\u00e1s<strong>\u00a0el m\u00e1s acorde ser\u00eda la \u00absociedad del rendimiento\u00bb.<\/strong>\u00a0Hoy se habla de mejorar el rendimiento econ\u00f3mico, el rendimiento acad\u00e9mico, el rendimiento mental, el rendimiento deportivo e incluso el rendimiento sexual. La m\u00e1xima es hacer mucho con poco. Hacer much\u00edsimo con lo m\u00ednimo.\u00a0<em><strong>Optimizar<\/strong><\/em>. Hacer que rindan el tiempo, el cerebro, los recursos. Que la hip\u00e9rbole sea la norma.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: \u00bfRendir o rendirse? \" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/episode\/5GzbgL131CuQdA8lN52mHS?si=0846bab830a449d1&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-p et-fx et-fx--show-scroll et-fx--hide-ty et-fx--loaded\">Seres humanos h\u00edper-h\u00edper \u2014hiperconectados, hiperinformados, hiperrendidores e hiperoptimizados (o desesperados por serlo)\u2014 corren sin pausa como una \u00abm\u00e1quina de rendimiento autista\u00bb, por usar las palabras de<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ethic.es\/lo-mejor-de-byung-chul-han-en-ethic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Byung- Chul Han<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-p et-fx et-fx--show-scroll et-fx--hide-ty et-fx--loaded\">Para el fil\u00f3sofo coreano,\u00a0<strong>la sociedad contempor\u00e1nea pas\u00f3 de ser una sociedad disciplinaria (donde la presi\u00f3n ven\u00eda de afuera) a una sociedad del rendimiento (donde la presi\u00f3n viene de adentro).<\/strong>\u00a0El\u00a0<em>animal laborans\u00a0<\/em>no necesita que nadie sostenga el l\u00e1tigo:<strong>\u00a0emprendedor de s\u00ed mismo, se autoexplota.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-p et-fx et-fx--show-scroll et-fx--hide-ty et-fx--loaded\">El\u00a0<em>homo agitatus<\/em>, Jorge Freire\u00a0<em>dixit<\/em>, se consagra a la agitaci\u00f3n y a la hiperactividad, debe<strong>\u00a0\u00abrendir siempre, no rendirse nunca\u00bb.<\/strong>\u00a0Se lleva al l\u00edmite \u2014f\u00edsico y mental\u2014 y se funde por sobrecalentamiento.\u00a0<strong>De tanto \u00abponerse las pilas\u00bb, el mecanismo colapsa, se quema<\/strong>. De all\u00ed su nombre:\u00a0<strong><em>burnout<\/em><\/strong>. Agotado, el individuo actual sufre de un exceso de potencia; tiene prohibido no poder.\u00a0<strong>Dale, t\u00fa puedes, si no puedes es porque no quieres,\u00a0<em>just do it<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-p et-fx et-fx--show-scroll et-fx--hide-ty et-fx--loaded\">El\u00a0<em>no se puede no poder\u00a0<\/em>ha llevado a lo que en ingl\u00e9s se conoce como\u00a0<em>bootstrapping<\/em>, la idea de que\u00a0<strong>todo el mundo es (o debe ser) capaz de mejorarse a s\u00ed mismo y a sus condiciones mediante la disciplina y sin ayuda de nadi<\/strong>e. As\u00ed, se ha construido una\u00a0<strong>cultura del sobreesfuerzo<\/strong>\u00a0que no solo presiona y exige superarse constantemente, sino que, adem\u00e1s, atribuye la pobreza a la falta de esfuerzo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-p et-fx et-fx--show-scroll et-fx--hide-ty et-fx--loaded\">Ese ha sido el caldo de cultivo para la proliferaci\u00f3n de lo que se ha llamado\u00a0<strong>los\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@ProductivityBros\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">productivity bros<\/a><\/em>,<\/strong>\u00a0que, seg\u00fan los describe la artista, escritora y docente de la Universidad de Stanford\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ethic.es\/2024\/07\/entrevista-jenny-odell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Jenny Odell<\/a><\/strong>, es \u00abgente que hace v\u00eddeos para gente que hace v\u00eddeos\u00bb sobre rigurosos h\u00e1bitos matutinos,\u00a0<em>tips\u00a0<\/em>de gesti\u00f3n personal y\u00a0<strong>f\u00f3rmulas m\u00e1gicas de optimizaci\u00f3n del tiempo<\/strong>.\u00a0<strong><em>Influencers\u00a0<\/em>que se hacen ricos sosteniendo \u00abla idea de que una persona puede ser al mismo tiempo quien se libera y sobre quien se ejerce el dominio\u00bb<\/strong>. Hay entonces una ret\u00f3rica de autodominio y autovigilancia que llama a estar constantemente revisando el propio rendimiento, ya sea con hojas de c\u00e1lculo,\u00a0<em>apps\u00a0<\/em>repletas de vi\u00f1etas,\u00a0<em>checklists\u00a0<\/em>de optimizaci\u00f3n o poni\u00e9ndose notas. Porque siempre hay m\u00e1s \u00e9xitos por conseguir, m\u00e1s minutos por optimizar, un cuerpo m\u00e1s esbelto por esculpir y, en general, cualquier otra cosa nueva por tener.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-p et-fx et-fx--show-scroll et-fx--hide-ty et-fx--loaded\">Por supuesto, no hay duda de que para cumplir los propios objetivos se requieren ciertas dosis de esfuerzo.
