The Holy Father has appointed Bishop of Seez, France HE Mons. Bruno Feillet, currently titular Bishop of Gaudiaba and Auxiliary of Reims.
“I am happy to live all the years that come by your side and to walk with you towards the Kingdom of God,” Bishop Feillet said in a welcoming message to the diocese. “Together, we will try to continue what has been put in place with Bishop Habert and find those little additional practical steps which will ensure that no one will feel forgotten on the way.”

HE Mons. Bruno Feillet was born on November 16, 1959, in Caudéran, in the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Bordeaux. After his secondary studies, he entered the Lille seminary for a year. In 1982 he obtained the University Diploma in Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Letters of Lille III and carried out two years of civil service in Mauritania. In 1984 he entered the Séminaire Universitaire des Carmes in Paris and enrolled at the Institut Catholique, completing his studies in Theology, concluded in 1989 with a Licentiate and attending, from 1994 to 1996, courses on family morality. From 1995 to 1998 he also enrolled at the Université Catholiques de Lyon, Institut de Sciences de la Famille, obtaining the DEA in Sciences de la Famille.
He was ordained a priest on 1 October 1988 for the Archdiocese of Cambrai.
After ordination, he held the following positions: Parish Vicar in Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes (1989-1992); Chaplain for students at the University of Valenciennes (1989-1996); Parish Vicar of St. Géry in Valenciennes (1992-1996); Regional chaplain for the Mission Etudiante (1992-1995); Member of the animating team, Professor of Moral Theology (1998-2006), Professor of Philosophy and again of Moral Theology in the interdiocesan Seminary of Lille and Member of the Diocesan Service of Family Pastoral Care (1998-2013); Rector of the Basilica Notre-Dame-du-Saint-Cordon and parish priest in solidum of Saint-Jean-Baptiste-de-l’Escautin Valenciennes (2006-2009); Pastor-Dean of Valenciennes and its urban agglomeration (2009-2013); Diocesan Responsible for Ongoing Formation (2010-2013).
On 28 June 2013, he was appointed titular bishop of Gaudiaba and auxiliary of Reims. He received episcopal ordination on the following 22 September.
Within the Conference of Bishops of France, he is President of the Episcopal Council on Family and Society.
