Gospel Reflection
In today’s Gospel, Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites us to come to Him when we are weary and burdened and promises us rest. He asks us to take His yoke, which is easy, and His burden, which is light. This passage reminds us that Jesus is our source of comfort and rest.
The purpose of the day
Today, seek rest and comfort in Jesus. Spend time in prayer and meditation, giving Him your worries and burdens. Allow His peace and love to renew and strengthen you.
How to live Christmas as a family
As a family, talk about the importance of finding rest and comfort in Jesus. You can say a prayer together, asking Jesus to help you carry your burdens and to grant you His peace. You can also establish times of rest and reflection as a family.
Prayer for the day
“Lord Jesus, thank you for being my source of rest and comfort. Help me to trust in you and to give you my worries and burdens. Bless my family and allow us to walk together in this season of Advent, renewed by your love and peace. Amen.”
