Daily Reflections

Gospel Reflection
Today’s Gospel, Luke 1:5-25, tells of the announcement of the birth of John the Baptist to Zechariah and Elizabeth. Zechariah, doubting the angel’s word, is struck dumb until the birth of his son, reminding us of the importance of faith and trust in God’s promises, even when they seem impossible.
Purpose for the day
Today, reflect on your faith in God’s promises. Ask God to increase your trust in Him, especially in those moments when circumstances seem uncertain.
How to live Christmas as a family
As a family, talk about how you have experienced God’s action in your lives, especially in difficult times. You can share stories of faith and trust that God has a plan for each of us, even if sometimes we can’t see it clearly.
Prayer for the day
“Lord Jesus, increase my faith and trust in your promises. Help me to believe in your word, even when circumstances are difficult to understand. Bless my family and allow us to walk together in this time of Advent, trusting fully in you. Amen.”
