Gospel Reflection
In today’s Gospel, Matthew 17:10-13, Jesus explains to his disciples that Elijah has already come, referring to John the Baptist and that they did not recognize him. This passage reminds us of the importance of being attentive to the signs of God and of recognizing his presence in our lives
The purpose of the day
Today, be attentive to the signs of God’s presence in your life. It may be through people, events, or moments of prayer. Please keep your heart open to his presence and guidance.
How to live Christmas as a family
As a family, talk about the importance of being attentive to the presence of God in your lives. You can share moments when you have felt the presence of God and how those moments have impacted your faith and your daily life.
Prayer for the day
“Lord Jesus, help me to always be attentive to your presence in my life. Open my eyes and my heart to recognize the signs of your love and guidance. Bless my family and allow us to walk together in this Advent season, always attentive and receptive to your presence, Amen.”
