Daily Reflections

Gospel Reflection
In today’s Gospel, Matthew 8:5-11, Jesus meets a centurion who shows great faith by asking for the healing of his servant. “Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof, but just say the word, and he will be healed.” Jesus is amazed by his faith and grants his request.
The purpose for the day
Today, strengthen your faith in the power of Jesus’ word. Spend time reading and meditating on the Scriptures, asking God to increase your faith and trust in his healing power.
How to live Christmas as a family
As a family, talk about the importance of faith and how you can support each other to grow in it. You can share experiences of how faith has been a source of strength in your lives and say a prayer together, asking God to increase your faith.
Prayer for the day
“Lord Jesus, increase my faith in your power and in your promises. Help me to trust you fully, knowing that a single word from you can work wonders in my life. Bless my family and allow us to walk together in this Advent, strengthened by faith. Amen.”
