Video images of the influx into the Basilica this morning
Already in the early hours of the morning, thousands of faithful waited at the gates of St. Peter’s Square to enter the Vatican Basilica to bid farewell to Joseph Ratzinger.
According to the Vatican Gendarmerie, about 25,000 people paid their respects to Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI before noon today.
