Assigned to St. John Vianney Parish, Archdiocese of Chicago. Deacon Jim has been married to his wonderful wife for 40 years and is the father of two sons, both of whom are married to equally wonderful women. Currently, one grandchild is on the way. He is Associate Professor of Public Health Sciences at Loyola University Chicago after working in a variety of Chicago-land health care institutions since 1973. Deacon Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology and a Master of Science degree in Medical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 1989.
Deacon Jim entered the Deacon Formation Program in the Archdiocese of Chicago in the Fall of 1996. He was ordained on May 7, 2000, the Jubilee Year, by Cardinal Francis George at Holy Name Cathedral. He just celebrated his 21st ordination anniversary, serving Jesus Christ and His Church.
