Applications now open for the IV International Women’s Seminar: “Women and Hope in Today’s World”

The International Academy of Catholic Leaders, in collaboration with the International Network of Catholic Women Leaders, announces the opening of registrations for the IV International Women’s Seminar, which this year will be held under the motto: “Women and Hope in Today’s World.”

This seminar is part of the work promoted by the International Network of Catholic Women for a New Feminism, founded on November 19, 2020, after the completion of two international diplomas on women’s participation in public life and Catholic identity in the 20th century. Since its creation, this network has brought together nearly 500 women from Latin America and Europe to promote a new feminism based on the Social Magisterium of the Catholic Church, aimed at men and women of goodwill.

A key event in Women’s Month

Raquel Vargas, a member of the organizing committee, underlines the importance of this seminar within the International Network of Catholic Women Leaders:

The relevance of this seminar lies in the need to unite hope with unity. In the context of Women’s Month, the topics we will address are based on hope, which is a driving force, a gift and a task. As women, we need to feel united to face the challenges and crises of today’s world, creating communities of hope and training ourselves to transmit this message to those around us.”

She also emphasizes the fundamental role of women in society and their model in the Virgin Mary:

Women are a key piece in all areas of society. Their ‘feminine genius’ and their ability to give a human tone to life find their model in Mary, Mother of Hope, the mother of love that never disappoints.”

Dates and modality

The event will be held virtually via Zoom, on Saturdays from March 1 to 22, 2025.
