People First. The Path to More Innovative and Human Companies

Discover how team collaboration and creativity can accelerate business success and progress in today’s world

“People First” is a work that offers a deep reflection on the essential role that people play within modern companies. In an increasingly competitive and changing business environment with so much technology available, the authors invite us to put individuals first, not only as resources, but as the engine of innovation, change, success, and progress.

The book is the result of the collaboration of more than twenty professors from the IESE Business School, who share their experiences and knowledge on how to manage and foster talent within organizations. With a practical approach, “People First” addresses the impact of a system based on the faculties of people to promote entrepreneurial initiative of people within companies: drive, construction, and collaboration to develop new solutions, and products, in short, to create value.

In the context of a business world where technology and automation are changing the rules of the game, the authors show us how employees can be the main agents of change. Often, the most innovative ideas come from those at the base of the organization, but these can go unheard if an appropriate environment for their expression is not created. Through a series of practical cases and proven methodologies, the book offers tools for managers, leaders, and employees to foster a business culture that values and takes advantage of these initiatives.

Throughout the book, readers will find practical strategies to implement in their own work environment. In addition, examples are presented of companies that have managed to transform their cultures and structures thanks to trust in their employees and the adoption of an open mindset towards continuous innovation.

“People First” is not only a guide for entrepreneurs and managers, but also for all those who seek a change in the way of relating within organizations. It is a call to focus on what is most valuable: people.
