Each day has a particular meaning that invites us to meditate and offer our prayers with specific intentions. This tradition helps us deepen our faith and live it more intensely. Here we share the meaning of each day:
- Monday: The souls in purgatory
This day we pray for the souls who are waiting to reach heaven. One day, we too will be part of that purgatory, and the Church will pray for us so that we may reach eternal glory. - Tuesday: The Holy Guardian Angels
Each one of us has a guardian angel who watches over us and protects us. Although we cannot avoid all difficulties, we know that they are there to free us from evil and help us fulfill God’s plans. - Wednesday: Saint Joseph
The powerful intercessor who cared for Jesus and Mary deserves our special veneration. As Saint Teresa of Jesus said, “Saint Joseph never fails in his favors.” - Thursday: The Holy Eucharist
It is the day to remember the institution of Christ’s greatest gift: his real presence in the Eucharist. In every mass, we relive that infinite love that always accompanies us. - Friday: The Passion of the Lord
Friday reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. It is a day to meditate on his surrender and on the love that saves us. - Saturday: The Blessed Virgin Mary
Saturday is dedicated to Mary, who lived the greatest loneliness after the death of her Son. Although she knew that Jesus would rise again, the pain she experienced was immense. This day we accompany her in her hope and strength. - Sunday: The Holy Trinity
The Lord’s day is dedicated to the mystery of the Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the heart of our faith.
A weekly spiritual itinerary
In this weekly structure we find the great mysteries of our faith: the Trinity, the Eucharist, the passion of Christ, his Blessed Mother, Saint Joseph, the angels who guard us and the souls in purgatory. These devotions help us to live our spiritual life with more meaning and to offer our prayers for specific causes.
