New Uniservitate Membership Programme for Catholic Educational Institutions

Institutions that are part of Uniservitate’s global network can access training, exchange meetings, research grants, awards, and other benefits linked to Solidarity Service-Learning

Uniservitate presented the new Membership programme, allowing its members to access training resources, global and regional exchange meetings, research grants, awards, and other benefits linked to solidarity Service-Learning.

Promoted by Uniservitate, the programme that fosters the institutionalization of Solidarity Service-Learning at the higher education level, the call aims to expand the reach of the Uniservitate Global Network. It is open to all Catholic and Catholic-inspired institutions of higher education.

The Membership initiative seeks to expand the programme’s reach by promoting mutual support, exchanging lessons learned, and collective empowerment by building regional networks. It is open to any university that wants to participate in the global Uniservitate network, regardless of its level of institutionalization of the AYSS,’ explained Maria Rosa Tapia, Uniservitate and Higher Education Coordinator, about the new programme initiative.

Membership is free of charge for institutions and is valid for one year – at the end of which renewal can be requested.

Application deadlines

Institutions can apply for membership until the end of May 2024 and will receive membership confirmation by June of this year.

The current referents of the different regions of the world, also known as hubs, will participate in the evaluation of the institutions that apply for membership.

An expanding network

The Uniservitate global network is present on five continents through seven regional hubs that support more than 30 universities in institutionalizing Solidarity Service-Learning as a tool for fulfilling their mission of integral education, generating agents of social change who are critically committed to a better society.

The link between the institutions —which promote, implement, and systematize the development of Solidarity Service-Learning projects— in a global network that this year will incorporate new members, generate institutions more committed to their communities, as well as the exchange between them regionally and locally, and will have an impact on public policies and systems.
